The Middle Ground - The Case for Personalized AI Training for Every Professional

Here is a story that I have heard from many (too many!) professionals caught up by the growth of AI around them.
On one level, they are inundated by news articles about new problems AI is solving, new dangers that AI is creating, how AI will replace most jobs, and so on. They are inundated by new AI powered tools that come out faster than one can try them. While this stream is exciting (and sometimes frightening), it is extremely high level.
On the other hand - if they try to learn AI - they are suddenly enveloped by low-level mathematical and technical details. For example - a search on “How Large Language Models generate text” will return content on everything from Tokenization, Embeddings, and Multi-Headed Attention, to DistilBERT (all technical concepts). These concepts can be valuable to learn - but jumping directly from a news article about how AI will change the world - to the technical details of DistilBERT - is not what most professionals would find helpful for their objectives. It is also unclear which of these concepts is helpful to each individual and their objectives.
The problem is that somewhere between exciting news articles and deep technical details, is the middle ground and a learning pathway from the high level to the specific details they may need. The middle ground that many professionals are looking for is the learning that will help them understand how to do their jobs better, add value to their employers in their chosen profession, and navigate the landscape of ever-evolving new AI technologies and tools.
This need differs from professional to professional. For example
How much depth do you really need on AI technology?
What are the ethics and regulatory issues in your industry and domain?
Do you need to make build vs. buy decisions?
Do you need to engage with your company’s data scientists or operations on AI features and AI products?
Do you need to understand the code?
Each person’s pathway through the middle is different, This is why AI training for professionals must be personalized. The good news is that we at AIClubPro know how to do this.
